FEATURED: Colorful, Fun, Summer Wedding on Style Me Pretty

If there was ever a better wedding that epitomizes a more exciting color palette that pops against the lush green backdrop of the Calistoga mountains it is this adorable couple’s wedding. Our beautiful bride had a vision of a romantic, ethereal look and we created a soft, natural makeup look with warm neutral tones and a half updo with braids to add a bohemian touch.

The design and details of the wedding were impeccable and were created by a top tier team of vendors. We loved the bold color palette of watermelon, fuchsia, and blush tones mixed with the little touches of soft ivory and navy.

Our sweet bride and groom were all about spending time with their closest family and friends making wonderful memories and celebrating their new chapter together. We are thrilled their beautiful celebration was featured on Style Me Pretty. Feel free to view the feature here and leave a comment. Here’s some additional wedding and behind the scenes photos.

FEATURED: Sophisticated Blush Wedding on The White Wren

If there were ever a wedding we’d want to be a part of it would be this one. Soft blush and muted neutrals were the perfect palette for this styled shoot. The Lyford House in Marin is a stunning little coastal venue with traditional elements as well as gorgeous views of San Francisco right across the bay. The top tier collective of vendors created a soft, feminine wedding that the sophisticated bride would love.

We styled our bride with our signature Blush bridal look; perfected, glowing skin, a warm, champagne enhanced eye and a natural but better lip, and soft, wispy curls in a half updo with braids. Paired with a lacy, blush gown, our bride was a timeless, sophisticated bride.

DOUBLE FEATURED: Elegant Vineyard Wedding on Martha Stewart Weddings & Style Me Pretty

You know your clients have impeccable taste when their wedding is featured in not one but two of the top wedding blogs. Our bride and groom are stylish couple who own a boutique wine shop in New York and have a love and passion for wine, so of course Napa Valley was the perfect location for them to tie the knot. Cristina along with her superstar Coordinator Callista, crafted the most sophisticated details from her gown, to her party’s cute pajamas, to the guest welcome bags.

Cristina wanted a makeup look that was authentic, barely there, yet accentuated her beautiful features. She wanted a classic chignon updo that was easy, yet beautiful and also allowed for her sophisticated wedding gown to be the star of the show. Our Stylists created soft, naturally enhanced makeup and hair looks for her bridesmaids and family members.

Cristina and Chris wanted to celebrate their wedding with their closest family and friends and did just that at their elegant soiree. Her team of top vendors perfectly executed her sophisticated fete. We loved working with Cristina and know her photos will help her to reminisce on their special day 10 years down the road.

Classic and Traditional Napa Wedding

When we first met with Nicole, we knew her wedding was going to be the epitome of a classically beautiful event with little touches of tradition, and personality. This pediatrician was one of the sweetest, down to earth brides we’ve ever met and just knew that her overall look was going to take her groom’s breath away. A vintage-inspired Hollywood wave and glowing, enhanced makeup would perfectly pull her entire look together and once we saw the complete look, we were not disappointed.

Nicole and Brad took their wedding as the perfect opportunity to honor their families and traditions, while creating a new one for just the two of them. What was really special was Nicole’s dress was designed by her grandmother, who is a dress designer in San Francisco. The beautiful blush gown had several pieces that were detachable to reveal a new outfit for each segment of the night. Along with her bridesmaids’ wine colored dresses, it made for a perfect color palette for a autumn wedding.

We are truly so blessed to have such intelligent, sophisticated, kind clients who not only have are extremely beautiful, but they are just the nicest people I could ask to work with. Brides like Nicole are why we get up in the morning. Women like her truly inspire us to create beauty that reflects who they are and that they will look at in 20 years and reminisce on how beautiful they looked and felt. Thank you so much Nicole, we wish you all the love and best wishes on your marriage.

It’s Been Great, 2018.

I can’t believe another year has come and gone and I have so much to be grateful for. I still pinch myself sometimes when I reflect on the fact that I’m able to do what I love and get paid for my time. It’s something I’ve always dreamed of to be a Makeup Artist I’m so thankful for my team and all of the brides, planners, photographers, and venues that allow this to be possible.

The primary reason I truly love what I do is the amazing women I get to work with. These beautiful women are intelligent and powerful, yet so gentle and compassionate. One of the indicators of this was our first bride of the year in Hawaii. It was January 13 around 8 am and I was on my way to stop and grab breakfast before heading over to start our day when my phone went off with a loud alarm. Confused, I looked down and saw a text saying “Nuclear Threat Imminent, Find Shelter Immediately.” At this moment, my heart sank and my life literally flashed before my eyes (I know it sounds cliche’ but it really does happen.) After I came to terms with the fact this will probably be the last day of my life, I decided I may as well go to work and die doing what I love. I headed over to the hotel to meet the bride and I was so thankful to find my team still came despite the fact we may not be going home. When we got up to the room, the bride was calm and happy despite what is going on, which I really admired. A few minutes later, the government sent notice it was a false alarm and we continued on with our day. The rest of the time we were with the bride, she was as calm and elated about her wedding day as if we didn’t just get notified of a nuclear bomb. The day ended up being a perfect Hawaii day and they ended up having a beautiful wedding day. This will definitely be one I’ll remember, not just because of the bomb threat, but because it was also one of the most amazing group of women we worked with. They definitely knew how to keep things fun. Photography by Keoni Michael

Throughout the year we’ve been featured in Style Me Pretty twice, Pacific Weddings, and Trendy Bride for two of our beautiful brides and a bright and stylish bridal shoot we did with the most amazing vendors. Click each photo below to feature. (Photos by Indu Hyunh, Sylvie Gil, Trynh Phto)

The remainder of the year was filled with the most beautiful and kind brides of 2018. Each and every one of our brides were extremely sweet, easy-going, and were truly inspiring to work with as a makeup artist. I loved working with every single one of them on creating makeup and hair that reflected their personal style and who they are.

I can’t even begin to thank each and every person we were able to work with this year and to the Blush Stylists who create an unbelievable experience for our brides, I am so grateful and blessed to work alongside these amazing, talented women.

I know with a year like 2018, this year will be more positive, more inspiring, and our best year to date. Wishing all of you a successful and happy 2019!
